ArtistScope DRM is available in 2 different versions that have different minimum requirements.

DRM Anywhere

DRM Anywhere is a fully portable solution that has been designed for implementation on virtually any type of web site, regardless of whether the site is running PHP, Cold Fusion, ASP or .Net, and the site can be hosted on any type of web server. It's installation requires only the addition of some html code to the web page to be protected and create a database in any format.

DRM Enterprise

DRM Enterprise is totally different and requires more stringent minimum requirements to ensure that all of its many features are compatible. To fully enjoy all of the Enterprise functions you will need to install the following on the server or computer hosting the DRM:
 

Adobe PDF Reader (even if Adobe Acrobat is installed) Microsoft Word for Word to PDF conversions Microsoft Excel for Excel to PDF conversions Microsoft PowerPoint for PowerPoint to PDF conversions Windows Server and IIS to host your web site with ASP support Support for either Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL databases SMTP for newsletter and document distribution by email Java version 1.6 or later to run some of the server side software Administrator permission to install a default printer driver Administrator permission to install system level DLLs

If you are hosting or own your own server there should be no problem with Administrator permissions, however if your site is one of many with a web host, you will need to arrange for their webmaster to install anything that won't be contained within your web site folder. When asking for such permission also mention that the solution that is being installed will support an unlimited number of web sites, enabling them to offer a new hosting option to other clients.

DRM Hosting

Instead of purchasing software and finding somewhere to host your DRM service, you can use the DRM Hosting option on servers maintained by ArtistScope. To get started all you need to do is pay an account set up fee plus an advance payment for your user validations.

ArtistScope currently has skilled programmers in Australia, Japan, India and the USA who can provide on-site installation or support by phone. New servers pre-configured for hosting ArtistScope DRM and ready to plug into the Ethernet can be shipped from Australia to anywhere in the world.
